What is synonymous with the self proclaimed "Special One"? You could say, winner, successful, funny even arrogant but hypocritical wouldn't be a trait one would give the Chelsea boss. Whether it was swipe or attack on his rivals that they are trying to buy the league is yet to be seen, but he can't attack others on what his done in his whole managerial career.
Gone are the days where it was Chelsea and probably Real Madrid who were buying all the best talents and going on crazy spending fee's. Does Mourinho feel threatened that his blues are not the only big spenders in club football? This is the game of today, this is the modern era where clubs are lazy to nurture home grown talents and are willing to spend big bucks on established talents from other continents. Teams cannot win on youth alone like the old Fergie, Man Utd teams of past. We are not going to see another class of 92 or the Arsenal team of past even though Wenger spent, that team was moulded around the home grown talents of Adam's, Cole and Parlour.
Whether we (Mourinho included lol) like it or not this is the nature of modern day football, well mostly in England to be a force in club football you have to invest heavily in European talent. Football is a business now as much as the FA are stamping down on this (How ironic of them to stop something that's brought them so much money down the years *rolls eyes*) There's not much we can do unless FIFA/UEFA/FA introduce a spending cap. I feel if there was a limit imposed on how much a club spend, they would be forced to look at their academy and more talent would be recognised and getting a chance in the first teams. So people like Mourinho don't buy the league and then moan when his rival managers do it lol.
