Arsenal Don't Have What It Takes

.

Arsenal will not win the league this season, sorry to burst many of my fellow Gunners bubble's but the truth is right in front of our faces with 3 points from playing the top teams in the league, this is not champions form. Like I said before if we cannot beat an average United side then we can not win the title. The only chance of winning the title is that if we buy in January we need at least 2 or even 3 top quality signings. The best teams that win trophies invest in their squad and buy big, it's taken Wenger some x amount of years to buy big and the 42 million he's spent on Ozil is not justifying his tag as the best number 10 in the world, he's been to inconsistent and too poor in the big games.

Especially in the striking department Giroud is good, and has improved this season, but with his loss of form and and lack of space, he's not that out and out striker we need, to kill games off,  we need a goal scorer that can change a game on it's head like a Van Persie or Micheal Owen kind of player. Wenger needs to wake up and buy!!! The fans have been on his case, I've been screaming out for Wenger to buy top quality EXPERIENCED players but yet he keeps investing in the youth, regardless of Fergie's class of 92, youth will not win you anything, Alan Hansen may have been wrong but that United team only won titles with their youngsters is because they had a mix of experience. We don't have that at the club.

If Arsenal are to go back to winning silverware then Wenger needs to keep hold of his star players, with a man of his experience and authority. He should be assuring  his players to stay at the club, but he cant do that, he's let too many gems go like Nasri, Adebayor and Henry. If he knew how to handle high profile players and kept them, then we would be up there with the top teams in England the whole youth thing is not working at the club how many teenagers have come in and have not cut it out at the club (Djourou and Traore are prime example of this and the list goes on till the Lord Jesus comes back) Okay we have some great young players like Wilshire, Gnarby and Gibbs but if they hand in a transfer request right now, I guarantee you he wouldn't even fight for them to stay at the club. This is why we wont win anything. And this is why the Gunners are not top guns anymore.

Give Moye's A Chance

I don't understand, how after 6 months of David Moyes's reign why Manchest United fans are calling for him to be sacked? He's one of the top coaches in the league if not the country his CV at Everton speaks for itself. He took a club that was fighting to get out of  the relegation zone into a top 8 side that's qualified for the Champions League in 2005 with a small budget!

Many say before he got the Old Trafford post and even now that Moyes's wasn't the right man because he hasn't got experience of managing at a "top club" . But wasn't Fergie not in the same boat when he managed Aberdeen, East Stirlinhshire and St Mirren? But he still turned them into title winning teams. Moyes may not have won anything at Everton, but taking a small club of Everton's stature to an FA Cup final, and Europe is just as impressive as winning trophies, not too mention David Moyes has nurtured top talents such as Barkley, Osman and Ronney and brought some top players to the blue half of Merseyside with the likes of Fellani, Piennar and Jelavic. Imagine the things he can do at United with the clubs great set up and youth policy.

Like I have always said on Twitter it took Fergie 4 years to win his first piece of silverware. After he was appointed in 1986 Man United were a team fighting relegation, finishing in the top 6 let alone not being the force they should have been on the pitch. So you cant be giving Moyes stick after 6 months as we all know when a new manager comes in, a club starts from scratch. The new manager brings in the players he wants, and the formations he wants to do. So the club is in transition. People can say he didn't do enough in the transfer window just gone and over spent on Fellani, but that wasn't his fault now that David Gill is not there, the new people that have taken over him didn't do what was asked of Moyes and didnt get him targets such as Tiago, Ozil and Lewandowski to the club.

Fergie suggest and wanted Moyes is the man to take over him when he retired. So there must something Fergies sees in him as Fergie has a great cast in judgement. Moyes was the right man as he's there for the long term as he managed Eveton for 11 years. Many people said that Mourinho should have gotten the job but I disagree as much as Mourinho has been one of the best mangers in world in the last 10 years he doesn't stay for long, he's not a long term manager he will get bored and move on to another job and his sometimes negative tactics wouldn't suit the clubs style of play. Moyes has deserved his chance at the job hence why I believe hes the guy to take Man United to even more success and you Man United clowns that call your self fans should get off his back!!!!!!!!!!

Arsenal Are Not Worthy Title Contenders

Last Sunday's match left a bitter taste in mouth, and proved to me what I've been thinking all season Arsenal are not title contenders and cannot mix it with the big boys. Okay we beat the 3rd best team in Europe 4 days before, but someone answer me how we can loose to a mediocre Manchester side who are 8th but yet we can beat an inform Champions League side that went to the final?

We may have beat City in pre season, (Because that really counts doesn't it?) but Arsenal have not convinced me this season, the squad is missing 3 to 4 star players and if we can get a defender and a striker and hold on to our lead after Christmas then maybe my pessimistic mood will change. In football you win  silverware by beating the best teams, and even though Man United are not the same as they were now that their under the Moyes regime, they are still one of the top dogs of English football and if Arsenal cant beat them when their haven't even hit 3rd gear, then we're not title contenders sorry to you Arsenal fans, our team does not cut the mustard.

The only thing that will change my mind is if Wenger brings in reinforcement in January, and we get results against the big boys, I don't accept for us to beat big teams in Europe, have string of results then fall at the big teams. And I also believe that with Wenger at the helm I don't think we'll win silverware as he hasn't brought in the right players and keeps selling key players. This is my opinion and my logic and if Arsenal fans wants to question my loyalty to the club then go ahead. I'm a realist and we can't be getting carried away with run of performances and man of match performances from our midfield. We need trophies at the club, the rats and the spiders are getting to comfortable in the trophy room.

Will Arsenal Still Be Top Dogs Come May?

Like I've said from the start of season and I will carry on saying it. Arsenal will not win the league! We have Ozil so what? Ramsey is putting in world class displays so what? but with the great midfield that we have and had over the past seasons. A midfield alone will not win you a cup competition let alone the league. We have too many liabilities at the back of the park. Sagan is not once the great right back that he was when he first came here and as good as Mertsacker is he can be exposed due to his lack of pace.

You Arsenal fans can call me pessimistic and not really backing my team. But lets be honest Ozil as great as he is who in my opinion is the best attacking midfielder in the world can not win us the league, we may have so much depth in midfield, but so did Chelsea last season and they came up short in the league even though they did well in the cup competitions. If they had performed defensively well they would have gone far in the Champions League and done well in the league but like I say and will always say defenses wins you leagues not your attacking options. We may have great midfielders like Ozil, Ramsey and Jackie Boy on the books
but are they gonna help us concede less goals? I think not.

There was something that my manager told me and colleague once he mentioned if Arsenal sign an out and out striker in January. Then league is ours I agree but with so many strikers to choose from it's really hard to choose I would love to have Loic Remy come in the winter window, he's fast, skilful and someone that has eye for goal someone that I feel that we've been missing since RVP left. I also feel that we need to sign a defender that is versatile preferably a center back that can fill in the full back positions as I fell Gibbs is injury prone, Jenkison is too inconsistent and we need more quality defenders.

This weekend will be a big test as we face United, who are going through a blip this season but are slowly coming back to form. To me this match will prove if we really are title contenders because if we cant be the big boys of this league like United, Chelsea and Man City then I don't think we should be with in a shout of being title contenders.

Fergie's Gone Too Far

What do you describe the greatest manger to ever manager in club football? Great, magnificent, God, okay maybe God it's a bit far fetched, but he will be remembered as the Messaih to the footballing world, and at United he's made one of the best clubs in the world today, this is harsh confession to make as I'm an Arsenal fan. But his book has caused a huge stir which really I don't like.

In my generation and the generation of football fans that have followed football since the 90's they will tell you Fergie was the best coach that has graced this globe. But to me he's just a bitter man that has waited to retire to take a harsh snipe at his players, which to me is a form a weakness. Okay he's said it before but not in the horrible context he's put it.

Calling out Keane like the way he did in his book was just out of order. Fergie did the right thing in releasing him for his harsh comments on his fellow players back in 2005 when United lost to Middlesbourugh. But to slander him in the way Fergie did was disgraceful. Keane whose known for his controversial antics as well his sharp tongue more than the great works he did in the United midfield gave 100% in that united shirt and Fergie owes this guy his life after the heights Keano took them.

When I heard how Sir Alex's book caused a storm, I was thinking it's just Alex being Alex but when watching the Champions League the other day and seeing the snippet of what Keane thought of his ex manager's book. who echoes my point that  "It doesn't bother me too much what he has to say about me, but to constantly criticize other players at the club who brought him a lot of success I find very, very strange. But I certainly won't be losing any sleep over it."It made me think that in every great football team, that's won silverware the players make a good manager, we all know that with out a good quality players you cant win anything. So for Fergie to slander players who have given him a great service and won him trophies over the space of many years is just unjust, no matter what the players did, at he end of the day they won you trophies. And he's right what he said in the interview Fergie knows no meaning of the word loyalty.

His attack on David Beckham is the one that really shocked me, to be honest till this day I felt that Ferguson dealt with situation poorly. He claims that Becks was more interested in his fame than his football, this statement I will always disagree with as Beckham always put his football FIRST, Beckham doesn't and never did want the fame. The fame came to him when he married Posh, your obviously going to be in the fame hunt and in every newspaper if your dating a Spice Girl!!!! It's not rocket science! It shocked me when he said that Beckham wasn't a great player when hes was at the club and his fame distracted him from legendary status at Old Trafford. This to me is a ludachris statement Beckham who I never really highly rated will always be there with the legends of football with his great passing & crossing and his explosive free kicks that haa become a sort of cult in the game. You tell me that a shy, humble likable guy like Becks whose dream was to be a player, who has put football on the map and who gave United a loyal service who still has had love for the club since he was a child is fame hungry?

I can't wait to read the whole book, take away his legendary status and the service he's given to the game in the last 3 decades and a half . Fergie has gone a tad bit far you don't criticize and diss players that have won you trophies and that have kept in the job. But hey that's just me lol

Too Many Wingers

If you's ask me what's the most dangerous position on a football pitch, I would say there are two the attacking midfield position and the right & left winger role, where the midfielder plays in the hole behind the strikers/striker but not many teams play with the attacking mid position. So I would say it's the flanks where both the right winger and the left winger can cut in, send crosses and scores goals. And for the first time the England team are blessed with many as I was watching Andros Townsend rip it up on Friday I thought to my self Hodgson has a real headache on his hands, he has so many wingers to choose from before they go to Brazil. Which they will when they beat Poland tomorrow, With good talents such as Walcott, Young, Barkley, Townsend, Sterling, Chambo and Norwitch new kid on the block Redmond, England have a real blessing disguise that not many national sides have in world football. If Townsed carries on having a good season for Spurs and puts in more displays like he did on Friday for the 3 Lions than he will be on that plane to Samaba City. But Hodgson who highly rates Milner for some funny reason, we the public will never know will always pick the Man City utility player who doesn't play much since he left Aston Villa. I have nothing against Milner  I feel he's a decent player who has a bit of skill and a good cross on him. So does Matt Jarvis who plays for West Ham but does he get recognition for England? So why should Milner who is not really considered in Man City's first team? In my opinion I think Hodgson should take Young, Chambo, Walcott and maybe Towndsend/Barkley/Sterling with those 4 wingers in any team. England can be world beaters and destroy full backs at ease and create massacre of attacks with their width in world football.

Represent Your Culture And Your Roots Not Where You Live

It's like we as people, many sports personality and even footballers don't want to represent where we are originally from and betray our roots. This is what Adnan Januzaj would be doing if he chooses to plays for the three lions, the guy is Belgian who has Kosavan decent and is not even a hint of English so why should he be playing for England? Just because you have an English passport doesn't mean you have the right to represent, this seems harsh but I'm a proud Nigerian whose lived in this country my whole life and a proud British citizen that grew up in this great city of London but if I'm an up and coming professional then my dreams would be to represent Nigeria because I'M NIGERIAN, I was brought up the Nigerian way, followed the Nigerian culture so I'm not English. This is the problem with sport and mainly football there's a big difference from being from somewhere and having naturalization in the country of where you work or where you was born. Plus if Januzaj was to represent England there would be darker times for this nation then there already is. They would be sending out a message that as long as your good and you have an English passport your good enough to play for the squad and neglecting the players that were born and raised here and have more of a right to represent. We've had many cases of players from different countries who represented the nations they grew up in like Senna who played for Spain, Eduardo who plays for Croatia and Zaha who plays for the England under 21's, Mo Farah, and even Kevin Peterson who had no right in attacking Jackie Boy whose points were spot on this week. In my opinion I agree with Jackie boy's comments only English players and the English should be playing for England I don't see the top nations like Brazil, Italy or even Spain recruiting people of another decent to represent their nations only on a few exceptions. People say that because they (sports people) have a British passport they should represent Britain, but I disagree you should represent the nation of your roots and your ancestors plus the culture you was brought up in.

Divers Are Cheats

There's many things I hate about the game, the ridiculous amount of money that's put in transfers and player's wages, Sepp Blatter (This guy I can go on about him till Jesus comes back) and even the corruption that's halted such top leagues like Series A. But nothing gets under my skin more than diving, it's the worst thing that has been brought into the game, and players like Ashley Young are disgracing the game, what player looks for a foul connects with the defender and falls down as if he's being possesd and receiving a deliverance prayer? Like a famous broadcaster/pundit said that they should be receiving a red card. I couldn't agree more, a yellow card is not enough, but with a straight sending off they will learn their lesson. And think twice about diving. Players like Young, Suraez, and many players in the Spanish league wouldn't even dare to it. A dive is just as bad as a two foot challenge and a hand ball offense. No player should be falling down in the box, and looking for a penalty, the time that your wasting in falling down and getting booked, that same time you could use to make a scoring chance or setting up your team mate. For years this has gone on, and yet FIFA have done nothing just as they've nothing with the racism issue, but I'll leave this topic for another blog. If diving is not stopped players will start swimming on grass and thinking their Micheal Phelps. And football is loosing its masculine roots as it is and I for one don't want to be seeing that.

The New Era

Since Roy Hodgosn lead England to the Euro's last summer I have seen a totally different England team from past season's. Gone are the days of the Golden Generation of Becks, Owen, Ferdinand and Co that could never take the national team to another level. Now is a fast, quick passing and attacking England side that could be living up to the potential of an international force they should be, down the years England have had a good core of English players plus having the best league in the world. But come the big tournaments they have nothing to show for it. I believe that England will show tonight against Ukraine which I believe they can get the result they need, that they can mix it up with the big boys of the international stage. Even though I still think they won't get anywhere past the quarters this summer but I do think that if England keep their good players like Gerrard and Rooney fit and hungry and such youngsters as Walker, Barkley and Wilshere they will be a force to be reckoned with. I've watched England this past year and I noticed something different. they attack more, they look for openings and they have more of a cutting edge with Welbeck, Wilshere and Walcott. In past years under the Sven and Cappello regime I noticed that England never looked for attack they always passed it back or hoofed it up to Rooney or Crouch but now passes are flowing, the full backs and the wingers linking up and over lapping each other. But there's one thing that this new England continues to do. They're still not performing against the big teams and holding on to their leads against them. Yes they beat Brazil in Wembley, but lost their composure against the same opposition back in June and let them come back. If England want to be one of the top nations they should be then they need to be performing and getting results against the big teams. Plus having a good Tournament and replicate the days of 1966, 1990 and 1996.

Deadline Day Madness

As we come to the end of another transfer period, I can honestly say not much has happened, not many transfers happened and most big transfer saga of the season has rambled on like a very bad Christmas special of Eastenders. But one transfer or transfer that's about to happen that makes me to raise an eyebrow is the Mesut Ozil one to my beloved Gunners, call me crazy but I thought about it and thought it was another story, that a lazy journalist decided to make up but as it seems he's done his medical and Madrid are willing to take the 42 million Arsenal are offering. It makes me wonder what goes through the head of Wenger it's taken him from May to to the last day of the window to sign a player for money that he hardly splashes out. His philosophy is to nurture young players and buy future stars or players that have the potential to be starts with chicken change. Now all of a sudden he wants to spend 30 million plus on a player. Don't get me wrong I will welcome Ozil with open arms if he comes to the Emirates as he is one of the best creative midfielders in world football, but why is Wenger buying a player we don't need? We need a defender a full back, and a defensive mid not another creative midfielder with flair as we have that in Wilshire, Rsosicky, Ramsey, Carsola and Arteta hence why to me this has been another transfer period where clubs are buying players they don't need as this window is about to close in 5 hours and a half. I'm glad to see that Bale saga has ended, that dragged on for too long and why Madrid spent 85 million on a player that's had ONE amazing season we'll never know but I hope he justifys that big price tag and as I know Bale has the potential to be up their with Messi and Ronaldo. And finally will David Moyes add that creative midfielder he needs? Fellani would be a good signing for them as he has that flair and steel that United are looking for, as I think he could form a great partnership with Carrick why Man U fans don't want him, is beyond me? They are most thickle and ungrateful supporters I've seen in my life forever moaning, now their on Moyes back because he hasn't spent. One thing I've learnt from this window is that Wenger can't take Arsenal to the top no matter what he does and clubs will spend x amount of money on players that will not show they was worth the transfer fee's that their respective clubs splashed on them I'm sorry to say but no player is worth 85 million!

5 Strikers Too Many

Reports have come in, that Samuel Eto is going to Stamford Bridge. But why are Chelsea signing a player that in the twilight of his career with 4 Strikers already!!!!!!!!!! Like I've said before can't remember when or where,  I said that Lukaku should be getting his chance as he was on fire for West Brom last season but with 40 minutes of football under his belt this season minus the great per-season he's had he will be licking his wounds on the bench. Schurrle whose an established German international must be thinking if coming to play for the blue's was a good idea? To be honest I don't see Torres coming back to the form that he had in his Liverpool days so why Chelsea have brought a 5th striker to their squad I will never know, which is confusing for a team that will be likely playing a 4-5-1 formation this campaign. They should have sold Torres but I wont be surprised if I see him go before the transfer window closes and there has been reports Demba Ba is going on loan back to Newcastle. But who am I to question Mourinho's motives as he's probably the best manager in world football now that Fergie has retired. All I know is someone will be offloaded before the window closes. I just don't see the use of 5 strikers unless the Special One is going to be playing a 4-4-2 or an attacking 4-3-3 formation but let's see how the last few days pan before the window ends and how he rotates his forwards this season.

Lamber The Hero

When you think of modern day footballing heroes of this century or this era, who can you name? Of course many will say so and so, this player and that player but to me there's not that many. Too many players are too cocky, too outspoken and too flashy some are not even worth their weekly wage and yet they cant put their money where their mouth is come Saturday 3pm or on the International stage. But Rickie Lambert is different from these modern day pre-Madonna's the guy has played in every tier in the of English Football He even managed to score for England with his first touch !!!! To me this is how every aspairing footballer should aim to be like. He's put his head down and gives a 100% for Southampton even though he's not blessed with the ability of RVP or Suraez but this guy uses what he's got and that's why he's soared. You young boys that want to be playing in Premier League this is who you should be looking up to like I've been saying in this post and not going after players who have ego's because of their name and their salary.

Gareth Bale is Not Worth 200 Mil

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to offer 200 million for Welsh wizard Gareth Bale, to me I think this is ludicrous as no player in my opinion is worth over 30 million. Ronaldo was not worth 80 million, neither was Torres who was 50 million, and we all know the story with him since he's been at Chelsea. Bale in his career up to now has only had 2 good seasons one which was last season, and the 2010-2011 season where he came to promise. You cannot offer a player who has had two good season!!!!!!!!!! You cannot that kind of transfer fee, hence why he's not even worth 200 million let alone the 86 million which was the first offer Madrid made. To me all these transfer spending spree's are out of hand, Sir Blatter needs to do something about the over spending that goes on in football, during transfer season. Clubs like Leeds and Pourtsmouth have been ruined because of things like this in football. If anything is not done then we'll carry on seeing over spending on one player and clubs not getting their worth when acquiring players, like I've said and I will keep on saying players should not be over priced just because they've had one amazing season in their short careers. Darren Bent, Veron and Glen Johnson are prime examples. And I honestly believe that if Bale went for that price that Madrid are willing to pay he would not produce the same performance he has for Tottenham, if he was to move to Spain.

Wenger Needs To Go or Meet Jesus!

So I woke up yesterday you know normal day, feeling hungry as ever, but before I went dowstairs to get fatter I  picked up my phone and checked my Twitter and one disturbing subect came up and it was the story that Wenger and Arsenal had agreed terms with Athletico Madrid to give them Carzola. WHAT!!!!!!!!????? I resaerched the story and have been told that Carzola is not for sale. But if by any chance this story is true then Wenger needs to sling his hook or he needs to give his life to Jesus because he's been moving like a stingy Nigerian (and we all know how stingy they are!)  in the transfer market. You know when that BROKE uncle of yours takes you to Nandos and makes your family of 6 share one bottomless soft drink so they can save money (unfortunaley this happened to my family luckily I didn't go) this is how Wenger is moving. My heart was doing one mad Azonto when I heard that Carzola could be departing for Spain. He's been one of  a  few top players by a margin this season and this could not be another season where Wenger or Jimmy Saville Wenger as I like to call him sells a crucial player we cannot compete with the big boy's of the league if he carry's on like this. This is a disgrace for years we've needed a consistent keeper, center back and striker as these are the positions that when you silverware and since the days of Cambell, Henry and Seaman. There has not been stabilty in these positions for years. Okay we've had RVP, Adebayor, Gallas, Toure, and Lehmenn down the last few years but he alaways seems to offload them. I for one have had enough if he doesn't at least buy 3 quality players and we don't win a trophy I will goggle his house and me and him will have serious words.

Monday, 8 July 2013

Just a month to go to the new season. With more transfer saga's, more drama and more managerial casualty's to take place in the near future.(Hopefully Wenger gets the boot for turning my beloved club into a joke) The 2013-2014 season should be the best season in the English top flight, today I will be blogging who I think will win the league out of the top 3 contenders in Man City, Man United and Chelsea. I feel that the title will be in Manchester or Stamford Bridge come May 2014 here is why I think these 3 power houses will win it.

Manchester City
I believe that City can win it, they have squad full of  stars. And with the likes of Yaya Toure, Silva and Aguero in any team your in a great shout to win any title. The new boss Pelegrini has been bolstering the squad with signing of Nava a quick Spanish winger with quick feet and great passing vision that converts into assists. After the sale of Tevez City have got rid one of many rotten apples in the squad, and will look to replace him with one of Europe's greatest strikers apparently their looking into another Spaniard in Negredo whose been scoring goals for fun for Seville in last 3 years. I think some of these star players will put their ego's aside and put their big checks where their mouths is and play out of their skins for the club and secure the title after looking back on last season's disappointment.

Manchester United
Man United will be in the shout as usual their veterans in securing a title with out playing their best in the first half of the season. And after Christmas it's 5th gear for the Red Devils and with Moyes at helm. Nothing will change many people say that now Fergie has gone. That United will fold I disagree they still have great players and a great structure at the club. If they can keep Rooney, RVP keeps his shooting boots on this season and they acquire the brilliant Thiago from Barcelona. Man United will be the team to beat and the likes of the other top clubs in the league could be playing catch up.

Chelsea
The special one is back! And Chelsea will be a lean, mean fighting machine they once were. I believe that Chelsea are more at an advantage than both Manchester clubs because Mourinho is back, he will get them player football that will win them matches, Chelsea still have the same nucleus of players that Mourinho brought through to the club and raised their game with such stars as Cole, Lampard, Terry and Cech. The players wanted him back, the fans wanted him back. Now he's here he will be getting a 100% out of his squad and with the signing of German international Schulurre Chelsea could be a formidable force. Bearing in mind the dangerous midfield they have in Oscar., Hazard, Mata and Ramirez.

This is my predictions and come May, one of these 3 will be crowned the English champions. I could put my house on it.
