Are Chelsea in A Crisis?

Chelsea in "crisis" loooool you guys are joking right? it's 4 games into the season they're going through what every good team goes through it's a bad run, okay a draw, a loss and two losses looks bad on paper but with Mourinho blasting his star players, subbing Terry the other day, demoting the club doctor and many more soap opera plot twists than a 30 minute segment of Hollyoaks. All seems to be breaking  loose in the not so happy home of current champions where it can easily be fixed no matter what the tabloids say and exaggerate about Mourinho's men.

What has gone wrong?
What has gone wrong is the defense, star defenders such as Terry, Cahil and the consistent Ivanovic who has been one of the best full backs in past seasons are still on 2nd gear and have lack of discipline. The muscle and guile of center midfield where Matic and Fabregas are being opened up far too many times this season, going forward they're great together but defending and holding it in midfield, they can't protect the defence where most of the problems are happening. Also as good and solid Terry and Cahill are they lack pace, where in this modern era of the game if your defence  isn't fast they'll be hell to pay.

What and who ca be brought into fix this?
Chelsea not lacking quality but the addition of Stones, whose winning plaudits by the week and is one hell of a defending talent since Rio Ferdinand to their defence will shore up all attacking threats and the blues will have a formidable defence that they're known to having. Whether he'll be pushing Terry out or warming the bench till the vetarine centre back decides to hang up his boot is another question that remains.  Paul Pogba will sort out the holding midfielder role as he's a dominant force in the middle of the park just as he's great at going forward he's just as good as covering up and defending. With these two in the team Chelsea can add to the finishing jigsaw puzzle to what is already a strong squad. Chelsea will be back to normal ways as Man City I can see failing of the race even though they've had a perfect start to the season.

Pedro, Wrong Or Right Move??

He may have dazzled and won the Chelsea faithful last night in a stellar performance against West Brom, but is Pedro making a big mistake and stalling in what looks, like a great career, where he won 20 trophies, scored a whooping 99 goals in a 318 game stint for Barcelona?

I would say yes to the question I asked in the previous paragraph. Chelsea have too many options in his refereed positions on the wing and upfront, with players such as Hazard, William, Cuardo, Oscar, Costa, Remy and so many other attacking talent Chelsea contain. The Spaniard might be in the same position he was in at the Nou Camp only difference is he'll be in great diverse London culture and will have a harder task to break into the Chelsea side.

Pedro is an exciting talent in world football, the world cup winner and 3 time Champions League victor has his best years in front of him. Whether that's at Chelsea will be a big question this season. Come Summer I'll see the Spanish player making a big mistake in not joining United, at United he would've been guaranteed first team football and mixing it up with Rooney and Depay, but we'll never know why LVG and the United entourage backed out of the Pedro deal. Come next season's summer transfer window lets not be surprised if we Pedro looking for a exit, as he'll be another player that went from team to team and from warming up one bench to another.

My Top 3 Wasted Football Talents

Here is Michael Johnson a footballer who had the world at his feet, breaking into the Man City team, with even the England Camp buzzing his name around, like a group of gossiping girls in the school hallway. But he like many players who tipped to take on the world never did himself justice. With personal problems and a new influx of foreign talents of the new spending era at City began a few years back, his career panned away, now he's overweight and despite gaining a 6 million pay out from his contract, he's just another talent that went down the football drain. Where such players as Adriano, Quaresma, Veron, Nugent, Ireland and many more are clear examples of this. I'll be giving my top 3 wasted talents of all time.

3. Javier Saviola
They tipped him to be the next "Maradona" After ripping the 2001 FIFA World Cup to shreds LITERALLY , he made his big money move to Barca but never couldn't cut it there. He even went to Real Madrid but his career was stop and start even though he did enjoy some success at  Portuguese Giants Benfica. Saviola will always one of those names that stuck out on lips on a potential world beater that never hit 5th gear.

2. Alvero Recoba
He may have been a top player on football game Pro Evolution back in the day when the Konami game was hitting the heights in the last decade. But in reality he was just another South American talent that frizzled out in the tough and demanding nature of European football. Blessed with vision, skill and a deadly left foot, his inconsistency and laziness to train, made his career to ponder like many Argentinians who were tipped for greatness before him.

1. Freddy Adu
Out of all the talents I've seen wasted and never fulfilling their potential and I've seen many to last me a life time. Freddy Adu has to be the one that hits me all the time. Signed his first professional contract at 13 made his debut at 14  and by 15 he had all the big boys watching him and even had a trail at United. But the Ghanaian born American who was dubbed the "Ghanian Wayne Rooney" back in 2004, failed to make a name for himself in Europe and America then eventually disappeared into football no man's land. I watched Adu and followed this guy, he truly had the potential to make a name for himself  in the game with his raw ability, with pace, power and fantastic dribbling technique. He's one that himself and many will look on and maybe even himself and ask "Where did it all go wrong?"

As the game keeps moving, many shine, many careers go into disaster, which is a sad sight to see, but doesn't it make you wonder not only in football but in all walks of life how one can have potential, talent and ability and become yesterdays man?

My Premiership Predictions

As the 23rd season of the English Premier league started last weekend, I and most of the country can't contain our anxiety and excitement as the biggest real life soap opera has already begun to unfold. I'll be giving my predictions of who'll win the league title, who will be the dark horses and relegation candidates.

Who will be the title contenders?
For me Chelsea will win the league and be the 2nd team after Manchester United to constant win back to back titles, they're squad is as strong as last season, and with resilience in every department of Jose's Mourinho's side from the goal keeper to upfront, even though main's marksmen Costa is always injury plagued, as his replacements are questionable if they can lead the front line, as Falcao who had a poor season with United last season and Frenchman Remy. Chelsea will be a dominant side with main man Hazard, Fabregas and co destroying the league. I wont be surprised if they run away with the league Man United, Man City may have strengthen their attacking options, who'll probably be in the title race, are not as strong and young & fresh as this Chelsea are and that will cost them the title and believe that's where they'll fall short.

Who will be the dark horses of the season?
With the busy transfer window Palace have had with the shred work of Alan Pardew, they'll be a team to fear, with Cabaye they have a top midfielder who will be dominating the centre of the park, great technical ability and set pieces, is a player that will get into any team's line up. Not too mention the loan signing of Chelsea wonder kid Patrick Bamford who is a young player who I rate highly who ripped the Championship up last year. They'll be a force in the league and how can we forget the dangerous width of Zaha and last season’s star man Bolasie. Don't be surprised if we see Pardrew's men in contention for the Europa League next season.

Who will be relegation candidates?
Most of the teams that came up this season plus Leicester, Sunderland and Aston Villa will be my relegation candidates, Aston Villa have lost Benteke and Delph who dragged them to safety in the league and the FA Cup final, I see their departures hitting them hard, Sunderland & Leicester who play good football have lack of quality and depth to stay up in this division, so I wont be surprised if they go down.

This season will be the best yet, I see it very offensive, with a lot of goals, as most teams having a lot of good attacking players in their squads. I see Hazard, Costa and Aguero fighting to be the best player in league. Bamford and Chaimberland fighting to be young player of the season. So expect more twists and turns than a game of Twister, managerial casualties and Mourinho giving the funniest and most controversial interviews week after week.

An Immature Dispute

When you think of rivalries that people love and will remember, they think Drake and Meek Mill situation which was quite entertaining to watch but it isn't Tupac and Biggie of yester year, the Mayweather and Pacquiao fight wher 4 year before the show down that happened in May where the pair were throwing shade like a couple gossiping females. Then there is Mourinho and Wenger who have been feuding over a decade. Which to me is immature and jarring we all like a bit competitiveness but this is getting personal surely the League Association Managers should sit the two down and squash both managers qualms.

The pair need to think about sportsmanship of the game, isn't that what the beautiful game is all about? Not taking things personal and shaking hands at the end of the day. It was funny watching the Special One calling Wenger "a specialist in failure" even making digs at Rafa Benitiz and his wife that made me fell off my seat last week. But there's a time for everything and this feud that has gone for over a decade, needs to be put to bed. The advert of the game has enough scandal and controversy to deal with let alone deal with two past their 50's squabbling like kids in a playground. This is the Premier League not primary school!

Wenger may have the 1st round of bragging rights as he finally has a win over the Portuguese tactician in yesterdays pointless trophy of the Community Shield. But let's see how the season pans out I feel Arsenal are miles away from challenging the blues of winning the title if we don't have a holding midfielder and a goal scorer as, I feel Giroud and Walcott are not the forwards that will win you league. As much as I would like the Gunners to win the league, but I would also love to see both experienced coaches to end this pointless feud that taking the professionalism out of the English game.
