It look set that the legendary Peter Cech will be playing his football at the Emirates. When you look at the best signings of all time in the history such as Henry, Bergamp, Wright, Viera, Sanchez and many down many line the Czech Republic international could be up there in Arsenal folklore. As Arsenal in my opinion have never replaced England legend David Seamen who left the club in 2003.
The goalkeeping position has been a cause for concern for a while now, maybe the last 10 years lol, where many have failed between Arsenal goal post. Lehmenn, may have been apart of that Invincible team in 2004 but he was shaky and too temperamental which cost him his place in 2007 and lost out to Almunia who had short form and never lived up to it. Szczesny who even though conceded the most-less goals two years ago and can be a good shot stopper on his day is not going to win you the league. But with Cech who was dubbed the best keeper in the world before Bayern keeper Manuel Nuer took the title off his hands will be a reliable fit in the Arsenal goal mouth. Can we now say that with a keeper of Cechs quality do we have a keeper that can win us the league?
Even John Terry said he's a keeper that will win you 12-15 points. He's a keeper of real pedigree and with his 15 honours that he won in his 11 year stint with Chelsea you cant deny the presence and quality he will install into the Arsenal defence. Maybe be the best keeper in Arsenal history with this signing I'm sure my Gooners will be up there challenging for the title.
