One Game Wont Cover Up Arsenal's Cracks

Well first of all I would like to congratulate Wenger and my team on the best team performance in a big game in the past 4 years. Carzola what a player he is when he turns up and Francis Coquelin what a player he's turning out to be! But first things first like Gary Neville said yesterday Arsenal have to keep performing like this in Europe and against the other big boys in the league. Because if not this will be a one game wonder as I believe and many believe this is game that has has covered in the cracks in the Gunners wall it's all good beating the falling champions of England and putting a great defensive performance. But if this is not carried against the other big teams this game counts for nothing.

Arsenal have been criticised for their lacklustre performances and desire in the past 5-6 years in big games with ex players, pundits and football neutrals claiming we've lost hunger and not having a plan B like every top team has in turning a game around. Henry shocked many with his mini rant yesterday before the game saying that Arsenal have gone backwards and are just content in finishing fourth. I for one have been shouting this from the roof tops but people (Arsenal fans) think I'm being ungrateful and pessimistic fan that should show more support to ones team. Well there's nothing to be optimistic about when your players only care about taking selfies and posing for Instagam pictures in training. And celebrating finishing 4th as if they've won the World Cup. Yesterday's performance shocked and cofused me, I did have some happiness in me when we scored both our goals as my 22 year old brother was screaming down the house, you would've though he has seen Freddy or Jason coming out of our bathroom with the way he was going. But we've got to keep it up and beat the big teams no disrespect to the Hull's and Burnley's of this world beating and playing breath taking football against them is the standard it's beating the big boys that cuts the mustard and wins you silverware. Like I said and will say and keep on saying till the fat lady sings, this performance and last nights result will count for nothing, if we're still getting spanked and loosing to other big teams.

Let's me be positive and look at the pro's (yanwn I have to positive at some point * rolls eyes*)  of yesterdays's game Santi Carzola played as if he was up there with Lionel Messi and Ronaldo with the way he was ripping Man City apart he deserved to get man of the match. He looked like a gonner in the summer and the side guy when Sanchez came in as I know Wenger is probably  looking to deploy both Walcott and the Chillean on the wing. But with injuries to Ozil and Walcott the Spaniard has taken his chance and flourished when called upon whether be on the wing or behind the striker, even though the former Barcelona man Alexis is taking all the plaudits this season. Another positive is that our defensive mid crisis could be sorted if Francis Coquelin keeps playing the way he has today and in the West Ham game a few months ago. The 23 year old put in a real shift yesterday he still needs more games. But I do feel maybe Arsenal need another quality body protecting the back four. Apart of me is happy and over enjoyed as this is the first time we've beat a big team in over 4 years. But this Arsenal team still worries me to be honest, but if you told me yesterday morning we would get a result I would've laughed and suggested you live in a mental institute and request for the key to be thrown away.

Simply The Best

Cristiano Ronaldo claimed the prestigious Ballon d'Or on Monday. Proving to the world not only is he the most elite and richest athlete on the planet, he's the best player in the world. Probably ending the debate that he's better than his compatriot Lionel Messi whose be hogging the headline in recent years as the best player in the world. Even though he still shows his majestic side and is still scoring goals for fun. There's bin a dip in form for the Argentine player this season where as his rival has gone from strength to strength.

The Portuguese midfielder whose been having another blinding season at the Bernaubu, not to mention his 43 goals scored in 2014 and his 17 goals in Europe last season that landed Madrid their tenth Champions League title. Has been a player above his peers in the last 3 seasons with his contribution to the Galaticos and his blistering goal tally which has increased season after season. What more accolades and tributes can we give the former Manchester United player? It's no wonder he won the Ballon d'Or two days ago with 37 % of the votes going to him. By winning his third and his 2nd consecutive Ballon  d'Or He's shown that he really is the best player in the world. Even at his worst for his national team he still carries the Portuguese nation in qualifying for national tournaments. This proves what a great player he is can we now start saying he's up there with Zidane's, Pele's and Maradonna's of this world?

As the debate goes on whose the better player. Ronaldo has staked a big claim that he's the best as Messi's season is marred by off the field antics not to mention his bust up with Barcalona coach Luis Enrique and his lack of form where Barcelona won nothing last season and a up and down World Cup. Where he surprisingly won player of the tournament (You can tell as he received it he knew he didnt deserve it). Ronaldo has outshone him and will continue to do with his fantastic goal scoring attributes and his scintillating form that he's been producing since 2012 I don't see nothing stopping him now.

Give Evans A Chance

"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven." Don't be scared guys lol I'm not preaching I will be talking about football but in this week's blog it might get a little spiritual. (Don't worry this is not a sermon and we won't be singing Ohh Happy Day.) I'm not a vicar, neither am I a pastor. But I am a Christian that strongly believes human beings deserve a second chance even a thousand! I know I've messed up in life I'm not perfect and I'm very grateful for God giving me grace and those people who I've wronged in past forgiving me. But when I think of the Ched Evans case this Bible verse from Luke chapter 6, verse 37 came to mind. Don't judge and you won't be judged as simple as that! The fomer Norwitch and Man City striker may be a convicted rapist, but the 13 cap former Welsh international has done his time. whether or not it sends out a bad message to fans, public alike. The clear fact is that he's done his time for his crime let him carry on his football career.

The general public have partitioned, moaned even threatened to boycott their respective lower league clubs matches if Evans is to be given a second chance in English football. With the case of 20,000 Oldham fans signing a online petition urging the club not to sign the convicted forward. He's already been rejected by a club in Malta and Sheffield United with sporting greats such as Olympic heptathlon champion
Jessica Ennis saying he shouldn't be allowed back in football and even threatening for her name to be taken off her own stand in Bramall Lane if United employ Ched Evans. But how many players were ex convicts and went to prison in the last footballing era? Many, I'm not here saying what he did was excusable if he did rape the woman which is highly questionable, (From doing extensive research and looking at proof looks like she wanted to make a quick pound sign from a footballer. But I can only assume as I can't fathom what really happened that night.) But I want everyone and anyone who read's this blog to answer me this, if it was Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi that did such vile attack & they employed the best defence team money can buy and was acquitted of chargers would they get as much flack as Evans? I highly doubt it.

From reading the headlines, doing research and speaking/debating about the Ched Evans case on my social networking sites. Many don't want to see a guy who maybe didn't even commit the the crime get given a chance. I disagree it sends out a wrong message to world football. It will send out a GREAT message to world football, that football is not judgemental, football accepts you for who you are, not your pasts or the mistakes that you made. This is why I fell in love the game because no matter who you are in this world you're not judged on the football pitch you're accepted. As long as you've got talent, heart  and the passion to play the game. I hope Oldham Athletic give Evans a second chance because at the end of the day like I said in the opening of this blog we're all humans whether you've raped or wronged (which I'm not comparing!) someone we've all made mistakes how would you feel if you was judged for a mistake or something you didn't do and people wouldn't give you a second look? It's easy to be a couch critic if we're not walking a mile in the protagonists shoes.
