Raheem Sterling one of best young talents to emerge on the scene in past 2 years. The "will he, won't he" saga drags on like a bad and over forced Eastenders story line. The player dubbed by many even his boss Brendan Rodgers as one of the best talents in Europe. Is treading on thin ice as he as his outspoken agent Aidy Ward are throwing out all their toys out of the pram and throwing tantrums in the media. Many wonder how this will unravel during the summer.
Many say his agent Aidy Ward is behind this, which I wouldn't be surprised we don't know the in's and out's of this story. But if Aidy Ward is pushing the move then this is another reason why agents are ruining the game. All they, well most of them want is to milk off the best young products in the game to bigger clubs and big transfer fee's so they can make profit. Agent are tarnish the game not also ruining the players passion and desire for football and brainwashing them that it's all about the money. Sterling is still young, he still needs to develop, he's had a poor season I believe he's in a good place at Liverpool, with one of the best coaches in Europe in my eye's. Why would the ex QPR player leave? and Ward banging on that he wouldn't stay at Anfield for 900k a week is nonsense Sterling and most players wouldn't reject such fee in a heartbeat.
I had an interesting chat with my friend last night about this whole drama. He asked me what I thought of Sterling and what team would sign him? I said Sterling is a good player he doesn't deserve the hype he gets he still needs to prove himself. Also it's best for him to stay at Liverpool I can bet my house that if he was to go to a big team he'll not be playing week in and out. Look at the big teams they are fully staffed with wingers. Man City have Silva, Nasri, Milner and Navas, Chelsea have Hazard, Willian, Cuardado and I don't see any midfielder breaking in that their first 11, United have Depay, Di Maria, Valncia, Young, Mata and Januzaj. Even at Arsenal where he's touted to go. Have Sanchez, Walcott, Carzola, Gnarby and many who can deploy themselves on the wings unless my gunners swap the inconsistent Walcott which I wouldn't advice. There no where to go even outside of England I don't see him getting in any 11. His best option is to sign the contract and do his best Liverpool, if Rodgers can brings in key signings in the summer then they can challenge for trophies. Like my friend said last night as he brought up an interesting point. What does it say about you as a player and your ability, that has to go to an already winning team to win trophies, if you can't win trophies in the team you're playing in?
