You guys who know me, know I'm most negative, pessimistic Arsenal fan in the world. Which I will put my hand up but I'm also a realist (Which is hard to believe but I am lol.) Arsenal are in another final, they have the chance to retain the F.A Cup, come mid may if they win the cup or end up in the top 3,(Hmmmm Instagram will go into overlaod come the end of the season *yawns*) it won't be good enough for me. I grew up watching Arsenal win the double in 2002, winning the league unbeaten in 2004 and reach the Champions League final in 2006. Now if we get 4th its an achievement with the team we have we should be pushing for the title and at least going to the quarters finals in Europe. That if Ozil and Sanchez and Co decide to be consistent. I guess you can't please everyone I'm a perfectionist if you don't like it shoot me.
What annoyed me about yesterday's game was that we're still struggling with the minnow teams, no disrespect to Reading they had a great run in the cup this season, but we should be winning comfortably against these sides, there's no excuse. With the form some of our players are in and the form the team is in we should've steam rolled the Royal Blues. Not relying on Sanchez who has gone down in form since the turn of the year, but saved us so I won't be harsh on him today loool. Aston Villa may have been out of sorts but if Benteke hits form come may with other players and we're still playing like that we'll loose. And we all know what Liverpool are capable Sterling, Sturridge and the imposing Coutinho are capable of, these guys will take you to the cleaners if your're caught napping. Wengers men need to fix up for May and learn from yesterdays performance if they are to win back to back FA Cups.
Liverpool may have been out of sorts this season, but they're attacking talent is not to be slept on, and we all know Steven Gerrard will be fired up as it his last game for his boyhood club if the Kop make the final, so it could be a tricky test for Arsenal if they get the Merseyside Reds. Villa on the other hand will be the safer bet for us to face in the cup final but like I said with the form Benteke is in and knowing how the Arsenal defense can't hack strikers of the Belgian's ability Villa, could be as tricky as facing Brendan Rodgers men. But we all know we rather face Villa. But one thing for sure is retaining the FA Cup will be a defining time for Arsenal and raise their title credentials for next season, and if they have what it takes to be the top dogs in England they once were 10 years ago.
