Nile is from my area North London, I've seen him a few times, I even saw him one time come into Nando's "high" (Everyone should know what this means lol) where I used to work. I looked at him even though I don't know him, but he's friends with many people I know. I saw a troubled man, with the weight of the world on his shoulders. How can a promising young talent as Ranger go and waste his potential that's slowly slithering away. With a bad CV and a even badder reputation, what football club will take on the wounded striker? Like I say football is the stuff of fairy tales where we always see a rag to riches story every week, I hope Ranger is one of those many testimonies and does turn it around, he's 24, an age where most footballers start to peak and are in the best shape and form of their careers as they establish it.
Looks like Blackpool will not be renewing his contract as he's been AWOL for the last 8 months at the seaside club and is training in the parks of North London and looking to revive himself as he pleaded on Sky Sports today that he's looking to get his career back on track. I discussed this with many people why and how Ranger messed up his chance or maybe his career as a professional footballer. Only he knows what goes on his head, why he's in the position he's in, only he can fight the skeletons in his closet. But what I do know is that he can be another player who turns his controversial life into a career of success or just be another young player who wasted their ability and couldn't cope with the fame and financial gain of football and having to deal with their personal life battles outside the game.
